B2B: Preparations & Marriage Procedures

I have mentioned in my previous post-April that I will share the B2B preparation. Alright, today I will share steps for all B2B. *Please be advised that the procedures maybe vary by states*. I'm staying in Selangor & my address in MyKad also in Selangor. Therefore I followed Selangor's application procedure, while my husband staying in Sabah, so he followed Sabah's.
Here you go:
  • Pre-Wedding Course.  I attended the course in Sandakan, Sabah because my husband wanted me & him attending it together. (But then we were separated into two classes).
  • My husband to obtain the marriage application form at Sandakan Religious Office. NOTE: You may obtain it at the counter of Religious Affairs Department of Sabah (JHEAINS) Headquarters or the nearest District Religious Office.
  • HIV testing. Selangorian must undergo the test in Government Health Clinic only. I went to Klinik Kesihatan Kelana Jaya (KKKJ). I chose KKKJ because firstly, it near to my office area. Secondly, no need to make appointment. Thirdly, I will receive the result on the same day. However, it took almost 4 hours for me to get the result! The medical assistant only returned me the blue colored-carbon-copy. Another thing, it was quite sad because everyone came with partner, only me came alone *sad face here*.
  • As for my husband, he went to Klinik Kesihatan nearby his house area. It was quick because there were only us at that time. Oh ya, he had me accompany him. The medical assistant then wrote the HIV result & straight away stamped/endorsed his marriage application from. After that, we went to Kinabatangan Hospital to take Talasemia Test (this test is not compulsory but I insisted to take).

    Done! Negative for Talasemia :-D
  • Ok, now time for him to complete his application form. I must wait for him to has the permission to marry been granted before I can submit mine.
  • My husband submitted the application form to JHEAINS-Sandakan District. After approved, he posted the approved documents to me. *He posted using POS EXPRESS; it took 3 working days to reach me here in Selangor.
  • Once received the documents, I went to Selangor Islamic Religious Department (JAIS) in Shah Alam to submit my application. I brought my father (who would be my "wali") & also two witnesses along to JAIS. Please be advised that we must have the groom-to-be's approved application with us when we want to submit ours.
  • After settled with the documents verification & endorsement from the Religious Officer, I met the "kadi" who will marry us to book the date, 23.02.2013. No objection even though the date was within a week :-)
  • After settled everything, went back home & time to prepare the solemnization ceremony next week!

      How to Cook Sarawak Laksa

Sarawak Laksa is a famous Sarawak food. It looks like curry, but it's not. Today I will share the recipe-how to cook Sarawak Laksa. I learn it from my husband.

      The ingredients:
      1) 1 packet of bihun
      2) Laksa paste (not sure if can be found in Penisular Malaysia)
      3) Chicken
      4) Prawn
      5) Eggs
      6) Coconut milk
      7) MSG
      8) Bean sprouts

      Ok, let's start!
      1) Cook the 300gm laksa paste together with half of chicken in 1 liter of water for half an hour, and then filter it. *Cook together with chicken to get the chicken stock.
      laksa paste

      2) After the chicken is cooked, then lifted.
      3) Filter the laksa paste, and then pour in half coconut milk into the filtrate.
      after filter

      3) Add MSG & prawn-but we add squid because no prawn in our storage.
      4) Boil the bihun. Cook bean sprouts in boiling water also.
      bihun-we didn't have enough pot-so use "kuali"

      5) Fried egg omelet, peel chicken. Set them aside.
      shredded chicken

      DONE!!!
To one bowl of bihun can be added with shredded chicken & eggs, bean sprouts, spring onions & lime.
      ready to eat

Oh, my husband not enough with one bowl!

      Selamat Mencuba!

      Wedding Reception-Part II (Saturday 11.05.2013)

This post continues from Part I.
We woke up at 0900 Hrs. We had breakfast and then did last checklist for tomorrow's. Sadly, we also received last minute cancellations-unable-to-attend from some of our friends, which meant we need to find replacement for the vacant seats. Hmmm... I have told the guests that our wedding "food dome" style. That was the reason I seek their RSVP. Those earlier said "ok" but a day before the reception SMS/Whatsapp informing "cant attend". I felt a bit disappointed, but nothing much I could say. On the other hand, I felt grateful & happy to those who able to present celebrating our big day.
We checked-in around 1700 Hrs. Rehearsal took place at night, around 2030 Hrs. After that, we walked to A&W. It just short walk.
Sleep early & looking forward for tomorrow~

      Wedding Reception-Part I (Friday 10.05.2013)

It has been quite some time since my last post. I was busy with wedding preparations which was held in Hotel Singgahsana Petaling Jaya on Sunday, 12-May-2013.

I was still working until Friday. However, my Boss let me left the office as early as 1500 Hrs. Hoorey!! So, I quickly called my husband to pick me up and then we're heading to KL to collect our wedding dress. There, we also applied henna at fingers, hands & feet (Note: for groom applies at 3 fingers only-middle finger, ring finger & pinkie).

After done that, we planned to take doorgift at Ampang. Unfortunately, it was terrible traffic jam from KL-Ampang. Therefore, we decided to go back home first. After shower and had dinner, at 2100 Hrs we went to Tesco Ampang to meet Kak Azizah who supplied the doorgift.
      Doorgift
Next, we drove to Petronas Solaris Putra to meet my friend who helped me with bunting and biodata card.
my ex-colleagues-Amirah & Diyana posing with bunting
biodata of the Bride & Groom displayed on every table

Later on, we drove to airport (LCCT) to fetch my sister-in-law & the family. My husband and I reached home at 0300 Hrs. ZZzzz... Sleepy.

      Monday 6 May 2013

After 72days apart, I will be reunited with my husband tomorrow. I will pick him up at the airport after finish work. Can't wait for tomorrow.
Dear Husband, I miss you mucho. See you soon!

      At Last... :-)

This post relates to previous one. The one that I shared about my expecting thingy.
Yesterday I received a call from Kangaroo courier service. He asked if he could send a parcel tomorrow or not (means today). Since it was raining heavily & he only rode a motobike, I had no objection and answered "Ok, no problem". (Kesianla kan.. naik motor & kena hujan lagi).
Today I wake up at 0830 & I see the parcel.. Oh, I am so exciting!!! (Tak sempat cuci muka terus buka parcel tu).

I bought this new bag because it can suit my iPad in. Now onwards, neither me nor my husband need to hold the iPad. We can put it inside the bag (however, I will be the one who holding the bag still).
Oh ya, can see it clearly that I bought it online from Nile.com.my :-). To my dear husband, you no need to worry much (at time being) because online shopping is really not my hobby yet. Trust me!! On the other hand, the sandals are not bad also. Opps!!
